Only one month left before first ELPA Performance International Congress (EPIC), which will be held online on May 29, 2021.
Renowned experts from different professional fields linked to basketball will share their latest scientific researches, methodologies and experiences with the wider sports community on the topics of performance, strength & conditioning, nutrition, data science, sports psychology, traumatology, and others. Members of ELPA’s Performance Advisory Board will be leading conversations with guest speakers.
EuroLeague champion and head coach of Ratiopharm Ulm Jaka Lakovic will be one of the most prominent speakers. Alongside moderator and performance expert Francesco Cuzzolin, former Slovenian national team player will be talking about transition of elite basketball players to top-level coaches, also by haring his own experience.
“I am glad to share my experience at the EPIC, both as a coach and also as a former player. The congress itself is a great initiative by ELPA, which will bring together performance professionals from different fields and I am sure it will be beneficial for all who work, or want to work with athletes in a professional sports setting”, said Jaka Lakovic.
This conversation will be followed by sports psychology expert Mar Rovira and her guest, prof. Isabel Balaguer, who will be talking about motivational climate in high-level performance.
“Motivational climate is a psychological environment that elite coaches create to motivate players in training and competition. In our session we will talk about the methods which coaches should learn in order to achieve the best possible motivational climate, which will then help them in coaching high performance teams”, explained Mar Rovira.
In total, the congress will cover eight different sports performance areas and discussions. Over 1000 attendants have already registered to EPIC. Registration is still open, so make sure you do not miss this unique event!
