The EuroLeague Players’ Association is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with ISDE (Institute of Law and Economics), a globally recognized institution specializing in legal and business education. This collaboration reinforces the commitment of ELPA to empower players with advanced knowledge and skills for a successful career off the court.
Since the inception of this partnership, ELPA and ISDE have worked together to provide players with access to tailored educational programs focusing on sports law, management, and entrepreneurship. These initiatives have proven instrumental in equipping players to navigate the complexities of the professional sports world while preparing for life beyond their playing careers.
Juan José Sánchez Puig, ISDE CEO: “At ISDE, we believe that true excellence in sports is forged through collaboration with the best partners and experts in every field. By working together with top leaders in their industries, as ELPA is in basketball, we are able to provide future basketball professionals with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to succeed at the highest level, ensuring they are prepared with the top guarantees for a prosperous career.”
Bostjan Nachbar, ELPA Managing Director: “We are pleased to have extended our collaboration with ISDE. For ELPA it is very important to work with educational partners who have specific programs that allow players to play at the highest level, while they also advance academically in preparation for their careers away from basketball. In this regard, ISDE continues to be a great partner of ELPA.”
Since the start of collaboration with ISDE in 2021, 11 active EuroLeague players obtained Masters Degrees in Sports Management through ELPA’s assistance. ELPA’s collaboration with various institutes or universities such as ISDE is part of the Second Career Program in which more than 20 players enrolled in the last season. The program is now in its second season, with an even bigger number of participating current and retired EuroLeague players.
