Wednesday, June 17, 2026 — The EuroLeague Players Association (ELPA) is proud to announce the winners of the 2025-26 ELPA Players’ Choice Awards, presented by Freenow.
The Awards recognize outstanding individual performances and contributions across the EuroLeague season, as voted exclusively by the players themselves.
This year’s winners are:
- Most Valuable Player: Sasha Vezenkov — 34% of the votes.
- Best Defender: Walter Tavares — 30.3% of the votes.
- Best Young Player: Sergio De Larea — 73.4% of the votes.
- Best 6th Man: Trey Lyles — 38.5% of the votes.
- Most Improved Player: Jordan Nwora — 33% of the votes.
- Best Newcomer: Jean Montero — 57% of the votes.
- Most Clutch Player: Mario Hezonja — 32.3% of the votes.
- Most Respected Player: Toko Shengelia — 41% of the votes.
- Fair Play Award: Thomas Walkup — 26% of the votes.
ELPA congratulates all nine winners and thanks the EuroLeague players who took part in the voting. The Players’ Choice Awards exist because of the community they represent: a group of competitors who understand, better than anyone, what it takes to perform at the highest level in European basketball.
